Winston’s Wish supports young people as they go through one of the hardest periods of their lives: when they’ve lost a loved one.
They’ve given The Marketing Practice eight wishes of their own, from finding them a corporate partner to marketing one of their biggest national initiatives.
On September 2016, we hope to help them transform how they fundraise and support more children in the future.
What your money could buy:
£5 could pay for the candles we use at our candlelight ceremony at our residential groups – helping each child to share a special memory about the person who died.£10 could enable us to provide a family with one of our specialist publications to help understand and support a bereaved child. £16 could fund a special memory box for a child attending one of our residential groups – helping them to talk about the person who has died and keep their memories alive.£25 could cover the cost of a 30 minute call to our helpline. £100 could enable us to provide 10 families with specialist publications to help understand and support a bereaved child.£200 could allow us to man our national helpline for a day. £350 could cover the cost of a child attending our teenage music group or our outward bound programme.£500 could fund four face-to-face sessions for a child and their family with two of our specialist family practitioners. £1,000 could enable us to deliver a training session to 20 professionals who in turn would work with and support many more bereaved children.£3,150 could pay for a family (two children) to receive the full programme of support from Winston’s Wish including attendance at a residential weekend, individual work and telephone support for approximately 10 months. £15,000 could cover the cost of running our email support service for the year.
