As a group of people that work on a daily basis with young people, we were inspired to take part in this Charity Ride after one of our students, Elliot Spindley, informed us he was doing the ride and approached all staff for sponsorship and support. Elliot said the following:
"As part of my life I want to help and support people as much as I can; I am very lucky to be in good health and have a good life. I can go to school, take part in sports and do lots of things which sometimes people can take for granted. I don't have lots of money to give to charity, but I do have time and a supporting mother to help me achieve my dreams.
I want to help not only children but teenagers achieve their dreams whatever they may be , I want to raise money to help cancer patients do what I do every day and try and make their journey in life HAPPIER."
Bike 4 Cancer was set up by a team of cycling enthusiasts, all of whom have lost a family member or a friend to cancer, Bike 4 Cancer is primarily a provider of days out and short-breaks for British families affected by cancer.
We really appreciate any support and donations in raising money for such a worthwhile cause. Many people have been affected by Cancer and so this is the least we can do as a group of people to support Elliot and to try and help others.
