Hi everyone, thanks for dropping by!
If you've made it to this page, then the likelihood is that you know Dave's story - on the 6th June 2013 we were all devastated to lose close friend, family member and colleague David Adamson to Acute Lymphoblastic Leukaemia (ALL) at the age of 27 after a long and testing 3 year battle with this awful disease.
The courage and spirit that Dave showed throughout the absolute worst of times simply astounded us all, and along with some pioneering treatments from the work that LLR carry out, brought Dave into remission on two occasions. Not only did this treat us lucky lot to having him in our lives that little bit longer, but it allowed him to carry out his own fundraising work for LLR by riding the 75 mile London Bikeathon in 2012! (see Team Dave's motivational picture of him on the finish line last year)
Cycling was one of Dave's great passions, and his bike "Benicio Bianchi" was his pride and joy! He planned on riding him in the 2013 Bikeathon, just as he did in 2012. Well, the ever-determined Benicio will make it round that 100 mile course this year courtesy of the super-keen Team Dave Cyclists!
Between us we are tackling the 26, 52 and 100 mile courses on the day, all hoping to emulate our hero Dave, and raise as much money as possible to fund the desperately in need research areas tackling ALL in young adults.
