As last year, a team of 6 is going to cycle 75 miles from the EDF Energy London Eye to the Brighton beach on Sunday the 22nd of June.
This year, Neil Mc Dermott, Chris Smith, Olivier Didry, Christophe Banos, Jack Abbott and Christian Egal will form the team. We all train hard to be fit the 22nd of June and face properly the Devil Dyke, a dreadful steep climb just before the beach!
We are all very excited to have a nice ride together in a sunny summer Sunday, but we do it also to raise funds for Renewable World.

At EDF Energy Renewables, we all have the passion for renewable energies and we are proud to contribute to tackling the climate change challenges through our professional activity. Beyond this objective, we feel that renewable energies can bring much more and help poor communities in developing countries to improve their livelihoods, health and education.
One of our colleagues, Katharine Fogarty, has been involved in a Renewable World program in Kenya and has witnessed how renewable energy solutions can promote sustainable economic and social development within fishing communities of Victoria Lake.
This year, Renewable World will launch a program in Kenya to install a 16 kW hydro plant to provide power to 2,200 coffee producers which have no access to electricity. The new plant will replace an old diesel generator and will trigger operational cost reduction for the coffee producers, production increase and women life improvement.
