Why are we doing this?...Access to clean water is a basic human need and 663 million people live without safe water. It's unbelievable that every day 900 children die from diseases caused by unsafe water and poor sanitation. Meanwhile we have enough sparkling clean water that we can swim in it! So we thought what can we do to help ?.... a WELLness Walk !.
We want to encourage as many people as possible to join us, so that whilst we're all enhancing our own health and wellness, we're providing clean water for those in real need across the globe.
Together we can fund the building of wells for those that are dying from unclean water...it gives real meaning to the term 'WELLness' and 'WELLbeing'. Imagine what we could achieve if we all encouraged our family and friends to get involved - we could actually save lives.
We've joined together to raise money for Wateraid by taking part in a 7 mile walk on Sunday 7th May 2017, starting/finishing in Altrincham, Cheshire. We're hoping we can raise enough money to fund the building of twenty wells. You'll see our team fundraising target on the right is initially £2,400, but with your kindness you can really help us smash this goal !
