Team WRG is Barry Day, Laura Bryant, Maddy Williams and Nige Bale.
On 22nd April 2012 we're going to run the Virgin London Marathon and raise £8000 for Marie Curie Cancer Care along the way.
Some of us have run marathons before, other haven't, either way this is going to be a tough challenge, but one that is worth the effort.
Marie Curie Cancer Care provides free nursing care which gives people with terminal cancer and other illnesses the choice of dying at home. They also run 9 hospices across the UK providing free specialist care.
In 2007, the charity cared for Laura's mum, Jan White at their Bradford hospice for 5 months until her death at 53. The care provided was incredible and without that support the family do not know how they would have coped. Marie Curie Cancer Care's support allowed Jan to die with dignity.
But they can't continue to offer this care without your help.
Every £20 raised provides 1 hour of nursing care. So please support Team WRG and Marie Curie Cancer Care and give whatever you can spare.
