OK, so our mad little group of 'Carey Allstars' (thanks for the name, Graham!) are planning to complete (read: survive) Rat Race Dirty Weekend!
What? Where? When?
RRDW is an obstacle course race in the grounds of Burghley House, Lincolnshire, on Saturday 7 May 2016. We're doing the 'short' version of the course, which is 13 miles and 150 obstacles! That's a lot of running, a lot of mud, a lot of water, a lot of heights, a lot of climbing, jumping, falling, scrambling, crawling, swinging and swimming. Yeah, we're crazy.
Who are the Allstars?
Our epic team of 'filthy muckers' (RRDW's term of endearment for competitors) are:

We're all fab (and now, fit) friends and members of Carey Baptist Church (hence the team name).
We've been training ridiculously hard for the RRDW (and loved most of it) and we're equally excited and terrified to actually get on the course and boss it (read: try not to die) together.
We don't just want it to be rewarding for us. We know it will be (and it already has been as we've spent quality time together, getting fitter and keeping each other going), but we want it to be rewarding for those who are really in need. So that's why we're running for World Vision and Tearfund.
(Sarah B. sponsors a little boy in Honduras through World Vision, and Julia works for Tearfund! So we really have a heart for these charities and we know first-hand that the work they do is incredible).
