On April 10th 2011 a dozen members of the Brothers Pearse Senior team will be joining 3000 competitors from 37 countries in this years Connemara Half Marathon - “The Connemarathon”. The course meanders past bogs, hills, lakes, and the Twelve Pin mountains rising up over the great expanse of Killary Lough, through the quiet village of Leenane, around the Maam Turk Mountains and all the way back up to Maam Cross.
Brothers Pearse has always had strong links with the West of Ireland and Connemara in particular. Every one involved with the club knows they will be made very welcome, and wishes them an enjoyable weekend. And knows they will come back flying fit ready for the 2011 season!
