Hi. I am trying to raise £300 each for for the Yorkhill Childrens Foundation and Strathclyde Fire & Rescue Family Support Trust by running the Melbourne Marathon.
Yorkhill Sick Childrens Hospital is very importatnt to me as it is where I spent the first seven weeks of my life and where my older sister Linzie received treatment for several years as a child. More so today it is visited by my friend Pauline Patton and her son Dominic who has a chronic kidney problem and requires regular treatment to help him live as much of the life of a normal toddler as possible.
SFR Family Support Trust is the charity run to provide financial and other support services to all serving and retired members of Strathclyde Fire and Rescue and their families who may require assistance. It is a charity I will hopefully never use but as a serving fire fighter I am delighted to support at any opportunity.
Please give as much as you can afford to whichever charity is your preference but ideally I would like to raise £300 for both so keep an eye on the amounts raised and the targets to help me in this. Thank you all for your support.
