I am going to cut my hair short for the first time in a very long time and donate the hair to the Little Princess Trust so it can be used to make a wig for children with cancer. To allow the wig to be free to those children costs the charity £350 so I want to raise at least this amount for this charity.
I have recently gained experience working in an oncology/haematology unit and have seen the effects that losing hair has on people who are already going through a really tough time. Whilst working here we dealt closely with MacMillan which is an amazing charity for information, support services and much more so I would love for anything above the cost of the wig (£350) to go to MacMillan.
I really love my long hair, I feel like it is my comfort blanket so this is a big decision to have it cut so much. I just feel I want to do something to help these charities raise money and help people.
1 in 3 people get cancer and most of us are affected by cancer at some stage whether it is us or a friend or loved one being diagnosed.
I would really appreciate any donations which are going to very worthy causes.
I have joined 2 pages together to allow you to pick which charity you would like to donate to whether it is Little Princess Trust or MacMillan. Thank you for visiting my just giving pages.
