A number of participants are walking distances of 4 miles, 10 miles or the full 34 Miles of challenging terrain from Durdle Door to Bournemouth Pier in a day on the 16th August! The full distance should be some challenge that we estimate to take around 15 hours, starting at 5am and finishing at Bournemouth Pier in the evening. Anyone wishing to do the lesser but still challenging 4 or 10 mile stretches are most welcome.
The chosen charity we are fundraising for is the Piam Brown Ward at Southampton Hospital. The Piam Brown unit is the regional paediatric oncology and haematology centre for the Wessex region. The unit is based within the child health directorate on the top floor of Southampton General Hospital. It cares for children from birth to 16 years of age with all types of cancer. It's aim is to care and support the child and the whole family.
This charity is close to us as we know Paul's nephew Alex who has been personally affected with Cancer and who is currently undergoing treatment at the Piam Brown Ward that does a fantastic job for him personally and the family.
