Harry’s Legacy- 1000 heartsforHarry
The song is ended, but the melody lingers on...
Although Harry’s star was short lived whilst it was with us, it burned brightly. Harry was a shining example to his friends, loved ones, and school colleagues and all those he touched. He was a gentle soul, who would offer help and comfort to everyone that needed it. He would go out of his way to support those less fortunate or alone, often putting others ahead of himself.
Through fundraising events and screenings, his star continues to shine and to honour both his memory and his spirit of generosity.
In raising funds for 1000heartsforHarry we aim to offer heart screenings to many local young people. Timely intervention, medical support and prevention could have helped Harry- heartbreakingly without any warning signs too often it is too late.
The statistic of 12 young deaths each week, in the UK, was one that shocked us. Prior to losing Harry, without warning, we like the majority of parents and guardians, were blissfully unaware of the cardiac risks in young people.
We hope that through raising awareness and by funding screenings we will be able to prevent more loss of young lives.
It is a wonderful tribute to Harry’s memory and to everything he stood for.
It's the circle of life, and it moves us all, through despair and hope,
through faith and love, 'till we find our place, on the path unwinding.
