I am running the Hampton Court Half-Marathon in February, something I have never done before (wish me luck!), to raise money for two charities that are very close to my heart.
ELLY Appeal

supports women through childbirth in one of the most deprived boroughs in London. They run several training courses in the UK and abroad to promote safer childbirth and they also support trainees in East London with their research projects.
Borne

has been supporting research in preterm birth for many years. Borne has a dedicated and fully committed team to research different aspects of preterm labour and sponsors a number of MD/PhD students (including myself!).
Feel free to donate to the charity of your choice but I would like to try and keep donations fairly equal.
