Claudia Richardson, Stuart Winter, Steve Ridley and Hannah Chapman are raising money for The Lily Foundation by abseiling down Guys Hospital Tower on Sunday 13th November 2011.
Guy's Tower is the tallest all-hospital building in the world. It is 34 stories at 143 metres (469ft) high. The London based hospital was completed in the 1970s and is currently the 17th tallest building the UK.
The Lily Foundation is a small charity raising money to find a cure for Mitochondrial disease.
Mitochondrial disease is a cruel, life-limiting, incurable condition, which many children in the UK suffer with. Mitochondrial disease is difficult to diagnose therefore The Lily foundation has been set up to help raise awareness and money for equipment and research into Mitochondrial conditions. Many undiagnosed conditions, even cot deaths, maybe attributed to Mitochondrial Disease.
More information on The Lily Foundation and Mitochondrial Disease is available here: http://www.thelilyfoundation.org.uk/
Please help us support The Lily Foundation by sponsoring our abseiling event
Thanks in advance for your support - it's a great cause!
Best wishes,
Claudia, Stuart, Steve and Hannah
