Mike and I have both picked charities that mean something to us. After the wedding we will split any donations received down the middle and each charity will get half. We ask that any donations that are made are done anonymously.
The Wedding wishing well foundation:
We are a charity which organises and funds for terminally ill people. There are many men and women in the UK living with terminal illness who long to marry their special partner in life. As they are fully aware that time can be precious, they are able to organise and fund a wedding against the clock when needed. Sadly some people they work with don’t make the wedding day or pass away shortly afterwards. Jamie has had the pleasure of working alongside Naomi, the founder of WWWT on a wedding for Jamie’s terminally client who sadly passed away after the wedding. Naomi herself is terminally ill with cancer, yet she works endlessly to give people the chance to experience something so meaningful to them, with your support they will help more and more people enjoy the wedding day of their dreams. http://www.weddingwishingwell.org.uk/
Last Chance Animal Rescue
Our charity rescues and re-homes unwanted and abandoned animals. These include ‘handed-in’ pets and ‘Pound dogs’ saved from their death row sentence. For many, it truly is their Last Chance.
We provide medical care, food, shelter and ultimately find them loving homes. We have a non-destruction policy, except on humane grounds, and carry out home checks before and also after adoption to ensure the animal has settled.
