Update 21/05/2013 ****Jenson and his family travelled to St Louis, Missouri on the 23rd March 2013 and he underwent the Selective Dorsal Rhizotomy procedure all went very well and within 5 days Jenson was able to get up from laying flat in bed and begin physio. He underwent a 2nd surgery 2 weeks later to lengthen his heelcords and hamstrings and the difference was immediate. For the first time ever he is walking flat foot and straight legged and the ongoing physio now continues for potentially 2 years. Thank you to everyone that has donated and supported Jenson on his Journey. The next phase begins! All donations are gratefully received the more funds donated the longer we can continue to pay for the physio Jenson needs to fulfill his potential.
Jenson has just turned 5 and has cerebral palsy - spastic hemiplegia. We desperately want him to have surgery in America, it is not currently offered to children with Hemiplegia in the UK. In order to send him to America to undergo this life changing surgery we need to raise in excess of £50,000 so every donation no matter how small would make a world of difference. Please give what you can. This surgery ( Selective Dorsal Rhizotomy ) would remove all the spasticity in Jensons right leg and enable him to walk without the need of ever having to wear leg splints/have botox injections or endure intensive physiotherapy for the rest of his life. Everyday is a struggle and we want more than anything to make Jenson's life easier.
