We've joined together to take part in a 37 hour charity football match and fun day to raise money for the Kicks Count charity.
As many of you are aware, the manager of Crediton Utd FC, Matt, and his partner Gemma, suffered the heart break of losing their beautiful baby girl Lily on 31st January 2016, 37 weeks into their pregnancy.
As Lily was born at 37 weeks, we thought it would be fitting to ask the teams to play football for a gruelling 37 hours from Friday night, through to Sunday afternoon! Whilst the match is being played on Saturday 9th July, there will also be a Fun Day to raise further funds for Kicks Count. There will be refreshments, alcoholic beverages, a BBQ, raffle, Beat the Goalie and other fun activities throughout the day.
Kicks Count empowers expectant parents with the knowledge and confidence to monitor their baby's movements to potentially reduce stillbirth rates and save lives. We hope our 'Kick for Lily' event can raise lots of money for this worthwhile charity.
