Please give as much as you can to help us beat the target of £600. On this page below you will have the option of giving to Combat Stress and/or Shelter. 

This Christmas season the two of us will walk the Great Stones Way.  This 114 km route will take us on a journey through prehistoric England heading south from Barbury Castle near Swindon past Old Sarum and Stonehenge. Enduring the winters chill we will trudge through a challenging but beautiful landscape from the open chalk downs, across the Vale of Pewsey, Salisbury Plain and alongside the River Avon.  

Will walk as tramps, living off the goodwill of strangers, and sleeping rough in order to meet the goal of raising £600 for two charities that work tirelessly to assist those who struggle with issues of homelessness. If you would like to walk part of the route with us please get in touch.

Combat Stress is the UK's leading Veterans' mental health charity. The charity supports over 5,900 Veterans aged from 18 to 97. It currently spends over £15 million per annum delivering its unique range of specialist treatment and welfare support which is always free of charge.

Shelter helps millions of people every year struggling with bad housing or homelessness through their advice, support and legal services. They campaign to make sure that one day, no one will have to turn to them for help. Many of the people they deal with are ex-military. There is a direct link between mental health problems such as PTSD and homelessness.
