Thanks for visiting our team page, we have called ourselves Lisa's Crew.
We have done the 12 mile walk from Warwick Racecourse to Coventry Cathedral.
The reason we done this 12 mile walk is to raise funds for the Charity Baby Appeal.
18 years ago i had a baby that was looked after in the special care baby unit, sadly she died. This walk took place on 17th June, Lisa's 18th anniversary was two days earlier so we thought it was a great idea to walk in memory of her and raise money for a good cause.
On the day myself, my brothers, Andy,Steve and John and sister-in-laws, Jo and Sarah walked with Roisin from the JD breakfast show on Free Radio. It was a great day, weather was great and we done plenty of interviews along the way, which i know some of you heard. John was interviewed too but the others shyed away..lol.. We done it in 4 hours and that was only because i think the others thought it was a race, i kept telling them to slow down, They said i was a right old moaner.. As if..
As we reached the finishing line it was so nice to see family and friends waiting for us, my nieces and nephews wore T-Shirts with Lisa's Mini Crew on them. They looked so cute.
After we got our medals we all had our photos took and then went to the pub for a well deserved pint..
What a great day to mark Lisa's 18th anniversary and to raise money for the Baby Care Appeal.
Money is still coming in, but so far we have raised around £770.00. You can still donate, its not too late..lol..
To everyone who has given i thank you so much.. Im lucky to have so many family and friends who have given to this great cause.
