Myeloma is a relatively unknown Cancer of the Bone Marrow - it does not have a cure. However, survival rates are increasing with the help of charitable funding of research and clinical trials.
Shortly after an operation and treatment to remove a tumour from my spine, I was diagnosed with Myeloma last year and will soon be starting further treatment.
Myeloma UK provides vital and much needed advice, information and support to patients and their families just like mine; they help them cope with everything a Myeloma diagnosis brings. Furthermore, they fund research programmes to develop and discover new treatments and fund ground-breaking clinical trials giving patients access to the most promising new drugs.

So, what am I doing to help raise money for this fantastic charity?
March for Myeloma (15th May 2016)
On Sunday 15th May 2016, I am organising the inaugural 'March for Myeloma', a sponsored group walk over two distances - 13 miles or 6.5 miles (your choice!) in the beautiful Northamptonshire countryside. To take part is simple - Make a minimum donation of £15 to my personal justgiving page: https://www.justgiving.com/Jonmissin-marchformyeloma clearly stating your name and preferred distance and you are in! Then, email me: jonmissin@hotmail.com to confirm you have entered and to enable me to update you with the details for the day.
To raise more money please ask your friends and family to sponsor you or make a donation to this page or they can donate by SMS - simply text: MJON77 and either £5, £10 or £20 to 70070
Remember: Donating through JustGiving is simple, fast and totally secure. Your details are safe with JustGiving - they'll never share them with anyone or send you unwanted emails. Once you donate, they'll send your money directly to the charity. They'll make sure Gift Aid (an additional 25%) is reclaimed on every eligible donation by a UK taxpayer, too. That means more money goes to the charity, faster, with JustGiving.
