Hello! We are a team of eleven runners running the Royal Parks Half Marathon for a charity close to our hearts, CoppaFeel!.
CoppaFeel! is a breast cancer awareness charity set up by Kris Hallenga in 2009. At 22 Kris was told she was “too young to get breast cancer”. This meant that her cancer was diagnosed late and could only be treated, never cured.
CoppaFeel!’s mission is to make sure all breast cancers are diagnosed at the earliest stage possible. Making treatments more effective and survival rates higher. The sooner CoppaFeel! educate young people about the signs and symptoms of breast cancer, the sooner they’ll be able to spot when something’s not right and be confident in seeking treatment.
How do they do it? By targeting music lovers at festivals and students at Universities. They organise events that are fun and inspiring. They engage fellow young breast cancer survivors to be their voice and pester famous faces to help reach an even wider audience. They’re like a friendly bop on the head when you least expect it. Awareness is at the core of their operation.
We've joined together to raise money and awareness for CoppaFeel! and you can see that we have quite a big target to reach and need your help to get there! You can find out more about their work at www.coppafeel.org.
Thank you so much for your support!
Tip!: Once you donate, Just Giving will send your money directly to the charity. They'll make sure Gift Aid (an additional 25%) is reclaimed on every eligible donation by a UK taxpayer, too. That means more money goes to the charity!
