A message from our Mission Leader, Carla Marcelis:
It is an honour to be leading missions to Honduras for Homéopathes de Terre Sans Frontières (HTSF). Leading a mission for me means sharing my passion for homeopathy and my desire to contribute to a better world. Honduras, like many countries in the developing world, is struggling to provide health care for its population and is embracing homeopathy as a sustainable and affordable means to do so.
During a HTSF mission, we provide direct health care, disease prevention campaigns as well as training to Honduran community leaders and health care workers who then continue the work after we leave. As a mission leader, my role is to do community development work in Honduras, to guide and train the Canadian homeopaths and homeopathic interns who are on the mission and to coordinate the logistics. The background, training and experience required to be a mission leader, puts me among the privileged few who can do this job.
