This year we have been encouraging optoms, DOs, students, lecturers, simply anybody within the optical community to cycle as far as possible and raise at least £1 per mile for Optometry Giving Sight. There have been cycles from Scotland to the South of France, and many companies have got their employees involved with stationary cycles at their offices, or with cycles in between their practices.
There has been a great sense of team spirit between all those who have taken part, even though a lot of us have never met! Everyone who has taken part has enjoyed themselves immensely, and there are still cycles going on until the end of August.
So please, please, PLEASE help us raise as much money as possible for this wonderful cause. We have all put so much effort in and all we ask is for small donations and some words of encouragement to help us along
