This is quite an emotive subject for me as someone very special to me has had a tragic loss of their much wanted baby boy and I want to help in any way I can.
My Mother always others me fantastic advice… and on this occasion she has not let me down! She said ‘help in your way…don’t offer to help, just do it’. This was meant in the nicest context and I knew exactly what she meant…
So, this is my way.
The fact is – there is absolutely nothing anyone can do to change how cruel some things in life can be. There is nothing anyone can say that will turn back time and make everything perfect. What we can do though is potentially help fund research, support and eventually prevent / reduce the amount of devastating miscarriages and stillborn babies.
Therefore I have chosen two charities which I will be working with over the next few months. Tommy’s and Count the Kicks – both fantastic charities which I hope to raise funds for.
I plan to host 3 photography mini session days on Friday 11th June, Friday 22nd July and Friday 12th August. A charity donation of £30 (100% going to charity) will be required for the session and this will include 2 digital images (copyright free) of your choice. 70% (with the remaining 30% going to room hire charges and print costs) of any additional sales from further purchases will be donated to 'Tommy’s and Count the kicks'.
As an addition to this – I have also signed up to a nationwide campaign for ‘Count The Kicks’ where I will be offering complimentary Pregnancy Photography Sessions as part of their image search for a 2012 Calendar. More details available here: http://countthekicks.org.uk/bumpcomp
