Thanks for visiting our team fundraising page.
On 22nd October 2011, Sheffield Forum Badminton Club will be holding a Badminton marathon, where 12 club members will be playing badminton hopefully for over 28 hours, and raising money for the NSPCC.
As part of this, we will be attempting to break the world record at the longest badminton marathon, which currently is held at 28 hours 37 seconds. This is a goal of ours but it is the badminton marathon which is raising money for charity, not the record attempt.
This means that 12 people will be playing badminton constantly for that time, with only 5 minutes break every hour and no swapping of players. This is going to be really tough so any sponsorship and donations will be gratefully received!
To donate, click on a team member at the bottom of the page and click the 'donate' button to the right of their name.
There will be some media involvement; If you are a company and would like more information on advertising space or corporate sponsorship, please email Allan at sfbc221011nspcc@gmail.com.
Remember: Donating through JustGiving is simple, fast and totally secure. Your details are safe with JustGiving - they'll never share them with anyone or send you unwanted emails. Once you donate, they'll send your money directly to the charity. They'll make sure Gift Aid (an additional 28%) is reclaimed on every eligible donation by a UK taxpayer, too. That means more money goes to the charity, faster, with JustGiving.
