Thanks for visiting The Walkie Talkies fundraising page!! The Walkie Talkie team will be taking part in the London Shine Walk for Cancer on 29th September 2012.
So who is in the team? Well we have one Marathon runner and two geriatrics (thanks to our on-going hip issues!). This might seem a bit strange but we all play our part .Kate will keep the pace for the walk to ensure the geriatrics don’t go astray, Kayleigh-will be the motivator as Adina often wants to do a U-turn, Adina will be the entertainer – when things get tiring and there will be much needed talking along the way! So hopefully with all the teams’ skills in full swing, we should be able to finish in fairly good time and cross the finish line in the same evening. So why? We all have had friends or family that have been affected by cancer so this is very close to all of us. We felt that we could at least contribute a little bit by giving our time and support to this worthy cause. So what will we be doing? We will be walking a half marathon (13.1 miles) starting Battersea Power Station past many of the famous London Sites. So what is required from you?
