Thanks for visiting our team fundraising page.
Team Alpine will be taking on the challenge of climbing Africa's highest mountain, Kilimanjaro to raise money and awareness for Ape Action Africa and Orangutan Appeal UK. We currently raise money for them through our coffee shop, gallery, holiday apartments and newly opened pizzeria in Betws-y-Coed, North Wales but wanted to "go big" this year.
All the money raised will really make a difference to both charities and allow them to make a difference in ape conservation.
Team Alpine is headed up by Jacha Potgieter, a conservation artist and photographer passionate about helping animals. He and his wife Gwyn run a palm oil free coffee shop in Betws-y-Coed, North Wales and have supported Ape Action Africa since Jacha first visited Mefou as a volunteer around 6 years ago. Joining Jacha and Gwyn will be cook and coffee shop manager Sue Jones and friend of the coffee shop and artist blacksmith Gerallt Evans.
Our overall target is £10,000 we would like to try and get an equal amount for each charity (£5,000 each)
