Thanks for visiting our team fundraising page. We are joining our efforts for the Big Ride for Africa 2015. Roughly 250 km cycling from Cologne to Amsterdam to the benefit of Lessons for Life Foundation.
We've joined together to raise money for charity. You'll see our team fundraising target on the right. Your donation can really help us smash this goal.
Here are a few words about where we all come from.
Simone: “It all started two years ago with the idea to have a fun bike tour with colleagues for a good cause… Having this in mind I started training with my “Omafiets” but soon realized that this won’t work for 260 km J and switched to a city bike. With this bike I managed to bring up the rear for the entire trip but finally made it over the finish line. This amazing feeling that I made it got me so hooked that I bought a “proper” bike and did not only train for the next Big Ride but also started with cycling as a sport! With this experience it’s now a must to participate and encourage others to do so as well – because it is all for a very good cause!!!”
Lucian: “I like to ride bicycle to explore and enjoy the nature and I also use it to commute. The Big Ride is an opportunity for me to put this to work for a good cause and give others the same opportunity I had from my parents: support me at school for a better future. There’s a wisdom: give a fish to a man and you feed him for a day; give him a fish net and he will feed himself from now on. There’s even something better: teach him how to make fish nets and he will build a better future for his people. This is the opportunity to help the poorest children build a better future for themselves and their people. Your donations are needed and keeps me motivated. ”
Jerred: “I am a mountain biker with no mountains but when I saw the chance to participate in this great fund raiser I thought it would be a great chance to challenge myself and those around me to give just a little back, passing along the opportunities I have had to others. It will be a hard ride to finish, but that is why I think it is a great chance to support me with encouragement and fund raising.”
