Hello!
Thanks for clicking onto my page.
I have decided to shave my head on January 18th 2014 to support four wonderful causes who rely on donations from people: Macmillan, Rowcroft Hospice, Phyllis Tuckwell Hospice and Tommy's.
***I am going to grade 2 but if I hit my target of £100 PER CHARITY I will go to grade 0***
My hair will also be donated to The Little Princess Trust who make wigs and hair pieces for children who've lost their hair due to cancer treatment.
I am raising money for Macmillan in memory of one of my very best friends, Ghyll Lionheart, who lost his battle with cancer in 2013. A few years ago, he did a charity head shave and I thought that it was time for me to do it, too.
I am raising money for Phyllis Tuckwell in memory of Helen Mills, my best friend's Mum. She always used to nag me when I fiddled with my hair when it was too short to put up but long enough to annoy me, so this is another reason that a head shave is an apt activity for me!
Rowcroft Hospice are a local charity that provide free palliative care for people. They're based in Devon (where I live) and I have a good friend who works for them. They do important work and I would like to do something to support them.
I decided to raise money for Tommy's because I was a very premature baby, born around 3 months early and weighing just 2.2lbs. I realise just how incredibly lucky I am not to have had complications arising because of this and want to do something to help those not as lucky as I was.
You can choose either of these three great causes to donate to by clicking the relevant page below. I have set a £100 target for each charity and I hope that your generosity will help me to get to my goals.
Thank you so much for reading.
Xowie.
