The mission of THRIVE! Enrichment Services is to provide the resources, supports and interventions that individuals who have challenging behaviors (CB) as a comorbidity to Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD) or Intellectual or Developmental Disabilities (I/DD) need to lead productive, meaningful and fulfilling lives with the greatest degree of self-determination and independence possible. Our ultimate goal is to help individuals who have comorbid challenging behaviors realize their potential and fully participate in, contribute to and benefit from all aspects of community life. We are currently in our startup phase. Once we have the necessary infrastructure and resources in place, we intend to begin offering a wide variety of direct services to individuals and families in Illinois that are impacted by Autism or I/DD with comorbid challenging behaviors, including behavior management, day habilitation, vocational training, crisis intervention and family support services; clinical, creative and expressive therapies; and recreational opportunities. While we are in the process of building capacity to provide direct services, we are providing indirect services that are designed to benefit individuals and families that are impacted by comorbid challenging behaviors everywhere in the form of online resources, and information, education and awareness campaigns.
