About Warrington Youth Club
Warrington Youth Club is the largest voluntary sector youth provider in the town, with over 3,000 members aged 7 to 19 (up to 25 with additional needs).
We support young people’s social, personal, and emotional development through universal activities, and targeted services for our most vulnerable members, including:
• Youth Clubs for Juniors (age 7 – 12) and Seniors (age 13 plus)
• A Fitness Gym
• Holiday Clubs
• ‘Youth Watch’ healthwatch initiative for young people
• ‘Youth Voice’ engagement and participation scheme
• Outreach and Detached service
• ‘Buddy Up’ befriending programme for young people with additional needs (age 7 - 18)
• Emotional wellbeing programmes; ‘Tough Minds’ for males (age 13 - 19), and ‘Pretty Tough’ for females (age 13 - 17)
• ‘Moving on Up’ life skills project for young people in temporary accommodation
• Community and school-based Mentoring schemes
• Employability courses
• ‘Study Buddies’ homework support club (age 7 - 12)
• ‘National Citizen Service’ (age 16 - 17)
The organisation is also currently building Warrington Youth Zone; a contemporary and iconic youth centre which is due to open in Spring 2022, and will double membership, offer state-of-the-art facilities, and be open 365 days per year.
‘Warrington YZ’ will offer a minimum of 20 activities every session, and provide young people with somewhere safe and inspiring to go, something positive and enriching to do, and crucially someone they can talk to.
