Story
I have Lipoedema, a very painful & debilitating genetic progressive disease. This effects my legs and arms, causing me alot of joint pain, tissue pain and mental pain. I first showed signs of Lipoedema from 16 yrs old, after a lengthy battle to get diagnosed, i finally did at 32yrs old. There is no cure, only a treatment to reduce the size of the limbs & decreasing pain and in some cases the pain goes completely. The NHS do not offer surgery for Lipoedema, it is very poorly recognise within the

9 years agoLook out for my story in 'New' magazine coming out on the 5th Jan. And also watch discovery channel TLC a series called ' Too ugly for love?' starting on 13th Jan, ill be in the series from mid Feb!! It follows people with long term conditions and how it effects their confidence.

9 years agoThings have gone a bit quiet, understandable with christmas nearly upon us. Ive managed to have this page extended until late Jan as my Lipoedema story will be in Now magazine on the 5th Jan and my crowdfunding link will be on there :) fingers crossed it reaches people.
