Sylvia is doing a sponsored Jump to help raise funds for an adrenal pump for her mummy.

Angela Milnes was diagnosed with Adrenal Insufficiency a rare and life threatening condition. Angela cannot make the "stress hormone" Cortisol and as a result she is constantly unwell and at risk of adrenal crisis. Angela spends a lot of time at home in bed and has had many hospital admissions.

Angela had a trial of treatment called "Continuous Hydrocortisone Infusion Therapy". This involved seeing a private Endocrinologist in the UK and borrowing an "Adrenal Pump" to see if the treatment improves quality of life. The treatment was a success.

The current pump is on loan and Angela needs to buy her own pump or she will have to go back to tablet medication which does not work for Angela.

The Adrenal pump is currently unavailable to Angela on the NHS but is a successfully proven treatment to ensure Cortisol is delivered into the body at the optimal times. The pump can significantly help improve fatigue and exhaustion as well as help keep Angela out of hospital with a more stable and better managed condition.

Angela has all ready saved and paid for appointments and tests and for her pump trial. She is now needing the final £4000 for the pump and medication for the next six months.
