Many of you will know our project leader Lee from his friendly demeanor onsite and anything-can-do attitude towards the challenges we face routinely as a business. It is this attitude that is seeing him through his fight with Acute-Lymphoblastic Leukaemia as he takes each stage of his treatment a day at a time.

We attended our xmas party late December 2015, and Lee was taken unwell just two days later. He has been in hospital on and off ever since. Fighting such a disease is a stressful thing, affecting not only Lee who must focus on his fight, but also his fiancée Clare, son Hayden, family, friends as well as long time work colleagues who miss his day to day banter from his joinery bench.

It is also an expensive business, as incomes are affected, and treatment involves frequent journeys to London for both Lee, and of course his family. Many friends have played their part in helping to raise money for Lee, with an auction, collections and a sponsored charity walk from Lee’s beloved Arsenal F.C home ground ‘The Emirates’ to his local public house in Sheppey.

Reflecting Lee’s love of football we will be playing a charity game at Maidstone United on Thursday June 2nd with a 7.00pm kick off, with all proceeds from the £5 entry fee being donated to help Lee and his cause. This game features a team of ESM ‘ahem’ Legends, vs Smart AV our trusted Audio Visual supplier. If you can come then it would be great to see you.

However we all lead busy lives and attendance in such a busy month may be difficult. If you cannot attend we hope very much that you will feel able to donate via this Crowd-Funding page instead.
