Story
The Stenhousemuir Supporters Trust have committed to raising £10,000 towards the player budget for the forthcoming season. The club finds itself in a tough financial position so all support will be greatly appreciated by the supporters and Brown Ferguson the 1st team manager.
£10,000 could allow the manager to add two additional players to the first team squad.
On 11 September, as part of the Pedal for Scotland event, I initially hoped to raise £1,000 to contribute towards the £10,000 target by cycling 46 miles from Glasgow to Edinburgh, but I've been staggered by the support and I've had to revise that target (upwards! )
Any donations would be greatly appreciated. Thanks for your support.

8 years agoWell I did it! And actually enjoyed it. Look out Callum Skinner. All support was hugely appreciated. It was a real boost waking on Sunday morning to a donation from one of our Norwegian fans. As most of you will know, the bike ride was only one element of our fundraising. The Trust has committed £10,000, so there will be a number of other events over the course of the year, but everyone's generosity here has meant that we are a lot closer to that goal. Thanks again. Stephen

8 years agoI've had celebrities, ex players, Airdrie fans, fans from Norway, fans who've never even made it to Ochilview, not to mention the diehards, all donate. Thank you very much. I've been on Radio Scotland, discussed on 5live, been interviewed by the national press and had a personal thank you from the first team manager, Brown Ferguson. I've even met my first football agent and we've now actually signed a player. Good luck Willis! It's been quite an experience. Now all I have to do is do the flipping bike ride!

8 years agoSo far so good. My training took me from Stirling to Linlithgow on Monday night. Around 25 miles. I survived and was walking unaided the next day! Donations have so far outstripped my expectations. I've hit my £1,000 target including cash donations received so I've increased the Justgiving target to £1,500. Might be a little ambitious, but fingers crossed...
