You are there, driving on your path and choosing when to stop, when to accelerate and when to change direction. But how many people did you find along your way and how many helped you make those hard decisions? Sustained and encouraged you? Without them, would you have become the person you are today?

Many people have helped me along my way and without all those people who didn’t believe in me and all those who did, I wouldn’t be who I am now or where I am now! Thank you to all these people who have brought out the best in me; who have said I have helped them find their confidence and become more positive. 

Thanks to Restless Development many people will walk their first step toward the construction of a better future, with better rights for children, women and men.

Your donations will:
1. contribute to help Restless Development provide opportunities for young people who are keen to learn, keen to give, but don’t have the tools to do so;
2. Support people to make changes in countries with extreme poverty;
3. Help improve human rights in underdeveloped countries;
4. Help and support young people making that change; to learn skills which help them and others;
5. Help improve the community;
6. Help young people to believe in themselves and to make better decisions which could influence others;
7. Help young people getting transferable skills;
8. ... and much more!

We are individuals who influence other individuals and we are part of one big community. Without each other, we wouldn't be as good as we can be!

In May I will go volunteering for 3 months on a development
programme in Uganda. This is part of International Citizen Service (ICS), which brings young people together to fight poverty and make a difference where it is needed most. I will be working alongside volunteers from Uganda, on a project that will help young people to get into employment and raise awareness on HIV.
ICS works with communities that have specifically requested their help. It also aims to inspire young people in the UK and overseas to become active citizens who are passionate about long term community development.
I need to raise £1500. The money raised will go towards supporting the work of Restless Development and their ICS partner organisations, enabling ICS to continue sending youth volunteers to the developing world to make a lasting difference in disadvantaged communities.
