The late Chief Kakumbi was a visionary man, he kindly donated the land for us to build our centre and encouraged us greatly to meet our shared hope for the future.&nbsp;</span></p> <p><span style="color: #4a7d3a;">Here we are in 2011 - celebrating <strong>10 years of achievement</strong>.&nbsp;<br />Every year we provide...</span><br /><span style="color: #4a7d3a;"><span style="color: #ff0000;">-</span> conservation and <a href="http://www.chipembele.org/wildlifeclasses.htm" target="_blank">wildlife education classes</a> for hundreds of primary and secondary school children at the centre.</span><br /><span style="color: #4a7d3a;"><span style="color: #ff0000;">-</span> with the generous support of sponsors +/- 80 pupils who are &nbsp;orphaned, living with a disability or otherwise vulnerable are&nbsp;<a href="http://www.chipembele.org/assistance.htm#education" target="_blank">supported through their schooling</a>.</span><br /><span style="color: #4a7d3a;"><span style="color: #ff0000;">-</span> rescue, rehab and release for <a href="http://www.chipembele.org/wildliferescue2.htm" target="_blank">orphaned or injured wildlife</a></span><br /><span style="color: #4a7d3a;"><span style="color: #ff0000;">-</span> an innovative&nbsp;<a href="http://www.chipembele.org/conservationeducation.htm" target="_blank">Conservation Education Outreach Programme&nbsp;</a>&nbsp;in the local schools and community with over 600 pupils engaged each week in extra curricular environmental and conservation education<br /></span><span style="color: #4a7d3a;"><span style="color: #ff0000;">- </span>improvement projects in local schools including construction and renovation of school buildings, provision of desks, books, educational materials and equipment, sports equipment etc.</span></p> <p><span style="color: #4a7d3a;"><strong>Help us celebrate our achievements and help us keep on keeping on!</strong></span><br /><br /><span style="color: #4a7d3a;">Each year we do have wonderful supporters and donors, yet each year we still find ourselves needing to raise funds. This year is no different and we have raised only half our needed funding for the WIldlife Education Classes.
