Yorkshire Cat Rescue exists to save the lives of abandoned or unwanted cats and kittens across Yorkshire and beyond. YCR operates a no-kill policy and neuters all cats and kittens before rehoming. YCR receives no central funding and has to fundraise to meet its vet, food and heating bills etc.

Story

There is a massive shortage of places for unwanted cats and kittens in Yorkshire.

To try and meet some of the demand, Yorkshire Cat Rescue wants to build a new, purpose-built centre to help more cats and kittens.

This costs money which Yorkshire Cat Rescue doesn't have!

To try and find the enormous amount of money needed (estimated to be over £1M), Yorkshire Cat Rescue is asking supporters to sign up to raise or donate £1000 each.  If 1000 people - Champions - manage this, it will enable at least the purchase of a site, and maybe pay for quite a lot of the building works required.

You can read more about Yorkshire Cat Rescue's 1000 Champions challenge by visiting the website (click here).  See who has signed up, who has already raised or donated £1000 and get some suggestions for your challenge.
