Story

Thanks for taking the time to visit my JustGiving page.

I have decided to do the Royal British Legion Riders 1000 mile 'saddlesore' ride at the end of June.

This is an organised motorbike event that sets of from Squires Cafe near Leeds and takes in one of four routes of at least 1000 miles - I am heading up into Scotland. It is a challenge of stamina, navigationand planning.

I will be riding with Mark Patterson, we plan to finish the 1000 miles in less than 24 hours so we won't be getting much sleep!

A lot of bikers do this kind of mileage a year, on sunny Sunday afternoons. I am doing this ride on my GSX-R sportsbike, if you know bikes this is not designed for 1000 miles non stop! 'If you're gonna do summat, do it properly'!

The route starts in Leeds, goes up the East Coast to Edinburgh and eventually Wick, comes back down Loch Ness to the West Coast, down to the M62 then back across to Leeds.

I know that incomes are not increasing, and the cost of living is- it would mean more to me for you to donate anything you can over the amount itself. Many small donations will get me to the £200 target!
