Story

Thanks for visiting our online fundraising page. We're cycling 1000 miles to raise money for three excellent charities. We'd be delighted if you could make a contribution to any or all of them.

This is the page for donations to Charlie's Trust.

What exactly are we up to?

Claire, Jon, Kev and Rob are all keen cyclists and up for a challenge. This challenge is a classic - cycling around 1000 miles from the most westerly point of the country to the most northerly. Over two weeks the ride will take in some of the most beautiful views in England, Wales and Scotland - and some of the steepest roads too! The lovely Willo and Rose will be providing support by driving from campsite to campsite to make sure there's somewhere comfy to lie down and a cuppa waiting at the end of each day's riding. All expenses will be paid for by the riders to maximise the cash available for our charities.

Our choices of charities reflect our belief that charity begins at home, but that other people's homes matter too. Both Charlies' Trust and Fairplay are local charities that the cyclists have personal connections with. Charlies' Trust work to improve educational opportunities for children in South Yorkshire and North Derbyshire. Fairplay also work in North Derbyshire, providing a wide range of services for children with disabilities and their families. Water Aid are an international charity aiming to provide safe water and sanitation in some of the world's poorest communities.

We are a charitable trust, set up in 2008 to work towards the advancement of educational opportunities for children and young people in South Yorkshire and North East Derbyshire. It was set up by the parents of Charlie Liversidge who died in April 2008 after being knocked down in a neighbours driveway.
