Story

We're a community dedicated to beating blood cancer. We do this by funding research and supporting those affected. Since 1960, we've invested over £500 million in blood cancer research, transforming treatments and saving lives. Right now, our community is funding 360 researchers and staff across the UK who are searching for the next breakthrough. The day we will beat blood cancer is now in sight and the researchers are determined to finish the job.

I was diagnosed and treated for Hairy Cell Leukaemia 3 years ago.  A keen cyclist before and having previously participated in the Prudential Ride London, I made a vow to myself in my hospital bed, following the 2017 event!! that I'd ride in future years raising funds for BloodCancer UK.  I did in 2019 and had planned to in 2020 but with Covid cancelling events, it is putting a big dent in all charity fundraising capacity.

I plan to ride 1000 miles over 32 days (around full time job and general day to day stuff!) so a bit more or less than Lands end to John O Groats (depending on the route), finishing on the 16th August with the PRL100 route on Zwift.

Please donate if you can!

I will be posting updates here and on my blog!
