Story

I recently came across a book called 100 Greatest Cycling Climbs. It is a list of 100 of the hardest, most beautiful and famous hill climbs in the UK, ranging from climbs in Dartmoor in the South-West to the Highlands of Scotland. I have decided that I am going to do all these 100 climbs in 1 year running from 1 April 2011 to 1 April 2012 which is the second year of The George Oliver Foundation. This will not only involve leg-breaking work, but also great organisation (gulp) to manage the (on average) 2 climbs a week required. According to the author, no-one has completed this list to date and no-one has tried to do it in a single year.

To spur me on my way, I therefore would be very grateful if you would sponsor me here. I will be running a blog of my cycling year at www.100hillsforgeorge.blogspot.com/ and should be posting further information (including photos and video), so you can see just how HARD this will be and how hard I will have to work for your generous support.

Please visit our charity page at www.georgesfoundation.org. We are supporting some amazing charities this year, we WILL make a difference to the lives of children who need some additional help and support in making hard lives easier.

Thank you very much for all of your support through everything we have been through and everything we are trying to do.
