We're a group of 8 from West Sussex Golf Club attempting to play 100 holes in a day on Friday 17th June.   We've joined together to raise money for 2 charities - The Juniper Trust and CHART.   The Juniper Trust is a research charity based in Guildford aiming to encourage and finance research and education in the understanding, treatment and management of breast cancer.   CHART offers a free, medical emergency service. Its local First Responders have been trained by the South East Coast Ambulance Service, to provide essential treatment in the first crucial minutes of an emergency, enabling critical intervention to be performed that can save lives or disability to be reduced.   On this page, you are able to donate to CHART.    To give you some idea of the fund-raising challenge we have set ourselves:   1) 100 holes is 5 rounds of golf plus a further ten holes. 2) A round at West Sussex normally takes over 3 hours - we will need to bring this down considerably to get round in time - so we're going to have to keep the ball on the fairway (there is a lot of heather on the course) and walk at a considerable pace! 3) We will be carrying our bags (no caddies or buggies). 4) We will be teeing off in 2 groups of 4 at approx 4.30 am - we anticipate it will take 14 hours to complete 5) There won't be much time for stopping for food 6) Finally, 100 holes of golf at the West Sussex Golf Club is in excess of 21 miles - and that's if we keep the ball on the fairway!   It would be great if you could help us to keep going through sponsoring our attempt.     Thank you   Russell Barton, John Ellis, Ashley Preston, Giles Griffiths, Simon Hester, Andy Bayne, David Roblin, Roger Curtis, Robert Riley  You'll see the combined fundraising target on the right.
