Story

COMPLETED IN 22 HOURS 3 MINUTES!!

However - please continue to donate, this page will be open until around the end of May, so all donations still count!

Please feel free to browse the flickr pictures where they should hopefully tell you the story of the event.  Simply click on the photo's to the left of this page then look for the 'Set' called 'The WALK!'.

Many thanks to one and all for donating, supporting, walking & making this one of the most memorable (and painfull!) weekends ever.

Oly (the Stag!)

Thank you for visiting our fundraising page. Please dig deep and sponsor us online.

The Aim of this Challenge is to walk 100 kilometers in 24 hours along the canals of Staffordshire, Shropshire & Cheshire on the first weekend of May.

The Route will start near Stone (Trent & Mersey Canal), and head south round Stafford (Staffs & Worcs Canal) down to just north of Wolverhampton.  We then head north (Shropshire Union Canal) up through Market Drayton and past Nantwich where we then turn south-west towards our goal at Wrenbury (Llangollen Canal).

The Team will be made up of 16 ordinary lads, most of whom will walk, some of whom will provide much needed team support through the 24 hours by providing water & food refills at checkpoints.

The Reason for this Challenge is two fold.  Firstly, to raise much needed funds for the NMC (see left or www.nmcentre.com), a valuable resource within the Neuromuscular community providing work, training & support in the area.  Secondly, to give Oly one last chance to do something daft before he gets married!

Donating through this site is simple, fast and totally secure. It is also the most efficient way to sponsor us: The Neuromuscular Centre will receive your money faster and, if you are a
taxpayer, an extra 28% in tax will be added to your gift at no cost to you!

So please sponsor us now!

Many thanks for your support.
