£100,000 in a month - pretty crazy but we can do it! spread the word amongst friends, family, neighbours, colleagues - help us help teenagers in the East of Scotland fight cancer!
The funds raised here will go towards the appeal for a new Teenage Cancer Trust unit at Western General Hospital in Edinburgh. Work on the new Teenage Cancer Trust unit is expected to start in 2010 and will be for cancer patients aged 16 – 24.
We raised the money for a Unit at the Sick Kids hospital for 13 -16 year olds which will open in September. Fantastic.
Help us do the same for the 16-24year olds. Cancer is horrible at any age but for a teenager or young adult the timing seems particularly cruel. They also get some of the most aggressive cancers. .
Teenage Cancer Trust builds units in NHS hospitals which improve the quality of life and chances of survival for young people with cancer. But as they receive no government funding, they rely on voluntary donations from people like you and me.
