Story

Thanks for taking the time to visit my JustGiving page.

I was approached last year by the Music and Liturgy Department and asked if I would like to do some fund raising to help the Chorister Fund. As music is dear to my heart, and knowing how important is to keep the tradition of choral music going in our Cathedrals, I accepted with great delight and said I would think up a little adventure for 2012.

After some thought and discussion, taking a hike seemed like a good idea. With many National Trails and Long Distance Footpaths available to choose from I have decided to walk the South Downs Way, not least because it finishes in Winchester.

The walk itself is 100 miles and I shall begin in Eastbourne on Sunday 3rd June, 2012. Each day will be between 10 and 15 miles, finishing in Winchester on Sunday 10th June.

If anybody would like to walk with me for a day, or part of a day they will be more than welcome to do so. A detailed route plan will be available nearer the time. I am very much looking forward to this little adventure and any support will be most gratefully appreciated.
