100 poems in a day · 29 November 2012

The Ministry of Stories is a non-profit creative writing centre where imaginations run wild. Every year, hundreds of young people make their way through our doors to become authors, comic book makers, singer-songwriters and script writers.

Story

Hi, guys. Thanks for coming to our JustGiving page.

We're each spending the day writing one hundred poems. It's a gruelling task, and if it's one that you've enjoyed following, we wondered whether you'd support a really cool organisation that inspires others to be creative.

The Ministry of Stories is a creative writing and mentoring centre for young people in East London. They use storytelling to inspire young people aged 8-18, in the belief that writing unleashes their imaginations and builds confidence, self-respect and communication.

Over 3000 young people took part in their volunteer-led workshops and writing projects in 2010, but in order to keep this great work going, they need to raise £325,000 a year. Can you help us raise some cash to keep them going?
