The 10 O'Clock Club Screwbally Rally Challenge · 16 September 2010

Cash for Kids is a grant-giving charity, supporting young lives from birth to 18. Our mission is to improve the lives of disadvantaged children and young people across the South Coast, Surrey and Wiltshire who are affected by poverty, illness, neglect or have additional needs.

The Ferryman 10 O'Clock Club members are taking part in this years 'Screwball Rally Challenge' in aid of 2 local organisations:

Warsash Wasps - 'Weatherproof Wasps'
Warsash Wasps SFC are a local Community Sports Club. Formed in 1977, they are one of the largest community football clubs in Hampshire. They provide local children with a football team to help develop their football skills. The Wasps are currently fundraising to upgrade their training facilities to include a new weatherproof pitch, and improved clubhouse and changing facilities.

 

Wave 105 Cash for Kids
Wave 105 is committed to supporting local children under the age of 18, who are financially, socially, emotionally or physically disadvantaged.  Additionally to encourage healthy lifestyle options by promoting physical, mental and general wellbeing of children and adolescents specifically within the Wave 105 region.

 

Details of our challenge:

Day1:    Dover - Dijon
Day2:    Dijon - Turin (Asti)
Day3:    Turin - Munich (Bad Feilnbach)
Day4:    Munich - Hannover
Day5:    Hannover - Calais

 

We want to raise as much as possible for our charities…..so please give as much as you can. These are two tremendous, local causes that will benefit young people in our community. Remember, everything you give will go to Cash for Kids and Weatherproof Wasps.

 

All costs associated with entry & participation in the rally, are being met by the drivers.

 

Naturally we plan to have fun, but there are a few rules:

Teams must raise a minimum of £250 for their charity.
The vehicle must cost £750 MAX, and be road legal.
Teams must have at least 1 sober driver at all times.
No racing!
