My personal motivations for connecting with this cause:

• I lived in various parts of South Africa for 23 years, where HIV/AIDS is a very real subject in everyone's awareness. Contraction of the virus was in most instances a death sentence. If you'd like some stats, facts & figures regarding HIV/AIDS in South Africa, feel free to pop in here. Studies discussed are not completely up to date, but then, I left SA in 2005, so information there is relevant.
• I have a dear friend who lives with HIV, but luckily for my friend it was picked up early and my friend lives in a part of the world where antiretrovirals, support and counselling are readily available. My friend is able to live a healthy, albeit "managed" life.

So in the name of SeeOneSoul Photography I decided to become a "warrior" for OneOneOneOne 

I connected with this cause some months back, but since I live and work at sea, I cannot run a race and raise funds through sponsorship, or even host a tea-party / cake sale etc ;) None of the "regular", even if extraordinary, fundraising ideas seemed viable. What I do have however are a collection of wonderful photographic images - some images created whilst still living in the UK, many created on my travels around various parts of the world. I love working in vivid colour but also have a passion for monochrome.

So The Idea: - If I can get as many friends and friends of friends to put a tenner in the JustGiving Kitty via my Warrior Profile Page, and each £10 in the kitty equates to a chance to win any image of choice from my portfolio printed to canvas (16"x20" valued at £69.95), then together we can raise the minimum £1,000 that is my target as warrior for OneOneOneOne.org.
