11 Million Hands for 11 Million Lives · 3 September 2014
Thanks for taking the time to visit my project and I hope you will share this with your friends and family.
11 Million Hands for 11 Million Lives is a holocaust memorial project created by artist, Franceska McCullough who aims to collect hand photos from people all over the world. Each hand represents one person killed during World War 2. An estimated 11 million Jews, Jehovah's Witnesses, Gentile Poles, Roma/Sinti/Travelers, Homosexuals and disabled people were killed during World War 2 and it is the intention of this project to use this visual memorial and enormity of human loss as a platform to help educate people all over the world today of how important all human life is regardless of who we are, where we come from, what we look like or what we believe in.
To donate hand photos to be a part of 11 Million Hands for 11 Million Lives please go to the Facebook page to share your images: www.facebook.com/11millionhands
Donated hand photos need to be posed with palms open and hands cupped which symbolizes peace to the dead they represent and also offering hope to the War Child and those this project aims to help.
